Sunday Morning Blogger
Last night for the first time I watched the movie "The Pursuit of Happyness . For those who have not seen it, the movie is based on a true story about a man by the name of Christopher Gardner.

"Gardner has invested heavily in a device known as a "Bone Density scanner". He feels like he has made these devices. However, they do not sell as they are marginally better than the current technology at a much higher price. On top of that, one of these does not work. As Gardner tries to figure out on how to fix the faulty one and sell the others, his wife leaves him, he loses his house, his bank account, and credit cards. Forced to live out in the streets with his son, Gardner is now desperate to find a steady job; he takes on a job as a stockbroker, but before he can receive pay, he needs to go through 6 months of training, and to sell his devices."

My reaction to the movie was wow! How in the world could I ever complain about anything again. I started questioning my own work habits, my life habits and my determination to make something succeed to the fullest.

I started questioning my goals based on what I had noticed from the movie.

  • Not just any goal, but the right goal.
  • The right goal will arouse ambition.
  • Ambition is a desire plus incentive = determination
  • A strong will!
  • An overpowering Purpose to Life!
There are many other things I could add to this list but these stood out the most from watching this flick.
Most people have no aim, they get through life by circumstances and arrive by the seat of their pants making no effort to master or control their outcome or circumstances.
